Sigfrid Öberg

Sigfrid Emil Öberg ( born February 22, 1907 in Stockholm, † April 2, 1949 ) was a Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

At club level, Sigfrid Öberg played exclusively in his home town for Hammarby IF. From 1925 to 1937, he joined with his team in the Swedish Championship. In the years 1932, 1933, 1936 and 1937, he won with Hammarby IF in each case the national championship.

Internationally

For Sweden Öberg participated in the Winter Olympic Games in 1928 in St. Moritz, where he won the silver medal with his team. As the best European team at the Olympic Winter Games, he won the European Championship with his team. At the European Championships 1932, he won the gold medal with his team. He also represented his country at the World Championships in 1931.
