Å ilai

Silai is a village with 441 inhabitants in the Rajongemeinde Jonava, 2 km from the main road Jonava - Ukmergė. It is the center of the Amtsbezirks Silai. There is a library, a post office (LT- 55090 ) and the school kindergarten " šilelis ".

History

In the 17th century the manor Silai is mentioned. After Juozapas Kosakovskis moved Marijona Kosakovskienė from the estate after Jonava to found a town here.
