Simon Tischer ( born April 24, 1982 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German national volleyball player.

Career

Simon Tischer began his career in Baden-Württemberg Schwäbisch Gmünd and later moved to the SV Fellbach. From there he went to Maoam Mendig, where he came into the senior team. In 2004 he moved to VfB Friedrichshafen, with whom he won the 2005 and 2006 double. At the World Championships in Japan, he experienced his first major tournament, which ended successfully with the ninth. 2007 won Phonetic with Friedrichshafen next to the domestic double and the Champions League. He also finished with the national team at the 2007 European Championships in Russia in fifth place. He then moved to the Greek first division club Iraklis Thessaloniki, with whom he was once in the first season of Greek masters. With the national team he reached at the Olympic Games in Beijing in August 2008 to ninth place. 2009 saw Simon Tischer to Olympiakos Piraeus, where he immediately became Greek Champion. In 2010 he moved to Turkey after Ankara and 2011 VK Dynamo Krasnodar in Russia. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he reached the fifth place. 2012/13 played with the Polish club Phonetic Jastrzębski Węgiel. He then moved to France to Lyon volley.
