Sint-Oedenrode
Sint -Oedenrode ( listen? / I ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The municipality of Sint -Oedenrode comprises the city of Sint -Oedenrode and the villages Boskant, Nijnsel and Olland.
Location and economic
Sint -Oedenrode is located about 12 km north of Eindhoven.
The community has many but small industrial and commercial enterprises of various kinds Agriculture is the main employer.
History
Sint -Oedenrode was collected in 1232 by Duke Henry I of Brabant to the city. As the city were screened to one side by the river Dommel and the other by a Moor, had the place unlike other cities no city wall.
Twinning
Since the 1960s, the town is twinned with Alzenau ( Lower Franconia ).
