Sipgate

Sipgate is an Internet telephony provider, headquartered in Germany, operated by the sipgate GmbH, Dusseldorf. Sipgate is also available in the UK and was represented from June 2009 to October 2013 in the United States. In Austria, the service was discontinued on 31 December 2013.

Company's core business is the provision of national and international telephone calls. The user can use the phone with any SIP- compatible terminals such as with VoIP phones, softphones, and an adapter with analog or DECT phones. Power Internal calls are free, connections via SIP address are not supported.

Sipgate support HD voice and offers phone numbers from all German local networks, and - depending on the product - from abroad. About Sipgate customers can also send SMS and faxes.

Products

Sipgate turns with different VoIP - based products to private and corporate clients:

  • Sipgate basic & plus offers VoIP telephony for residential customers for SIP -enabled phones or adapters, as well as pre-configured softphones
  • Sipgate team is an Internet- based telephone system for corporate clients and supports distributed locations. With the product variant "complete" are SIM cards for mobile phones companies available which are also managed via the telephone system.
  • Sipgate trunking binds VoIP-enabled phone systems via broadband to the telephone network.
  • Sipgate acd is a preconfigured VoIP system for operating a hotline with up to 15 agents.
  • Simquadrat is a wireless service plan, the SIM card can be reached via a local telephone number and mobile numbers. Other functions have been announced.
  • Sipgate go summarizes VoIP telephony and mobile along with a landline and a mobile number in a joint account. The configuration is done in a web interface. The future product development should be oriented to customer needs, including are planned fax function, variable forwarding rules and a migration from sipgate basic.
  • Sipgate one ( ceased operations as of July 31, 2013) received under a single mobile phone calls and directed them free in the parallel call to fixed line, mobile and Skype connections on; for outgoing calls there was an app for smartphones.

Sipgate Wireless

With the virtual network provider sipgate sipgate Wireless GmbH since 2012 has its own mobile network that accesses the network of E -Plus. Through its subsidiary, the mobile services from sipgate are processed, which are accessible via local numbers and mobile numbers.
