Sitkwin is a small town in Burma, Circle Minhla, Prome district.

Important events

On February 7, 1998 Bertrand Piccard and crew landed the Breitling Orbiter balloon. The troops fired on the balloon to accelerate the emptying. On June 23, 2002 4,254 people from Sitkwin and the surrounding area were forced to a mass rally to protest against the National League for Democracy (NLD ), chaired by the Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi.
