Sjællands Odde

Sjællands Odde is a touristy place embossed on the same narrow peninsula on the northwest coast of the Danish island of Zealand. It extends 15 km into the Kattegat. The end point of the peninsula is called Spibs.

Sjællands Odde belongs to the municipality Odsherred in the Region Sjælland, the resort itself has less than 200 inhabitants and therefore does not count according to Danish terms as a city. The largest town on the peninsula is Havnebyen with 677 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The church Odden Kirke is Overby. Along the north coast fishing villages, whereas the southern coast is dominated by summer cottages.

During the Stone Age Sjællands Odde was an island that connected with the passage of time due to land uplift with Zealand.

Traffic Engineering is the significance of the peninsula consists of the Ferry Odden Færgehavn from which boat links to the mainland Jutland ( Aarhus and Ebeltoft ).
