Slavošovce
Slavošovce ( until 1927 slovak also " VeLka Slaboška "; Großslawdorf German, Hungarian Nagyszabos - to 1902 Nagyszlabos ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia with 1959 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), the Region belongs to Okres Rožňava, part of Košice and traditional landscape Gemer is attributed.
Geography
The community is located at the foot of Spis - Gemer Karst, in the upper valley of the Štítnik. The center is located at an altitude of 425 m nm and is about 26 km from Rožňava away.
History
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1318 as Szederjes. The paper mill in the town was founded in 1817. The regional railway Plešivec - Slavošovce ends in the community.
