Smashed (film)

Smashed is a 2012 published American dramedy from director James Ponsoldt. The main characters are Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul played. The movie premiere took place on 22 January 2012 at the Sundance Film Festival 2012, where the film the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Prize for Excellence in Independent Film Producing won. The movie was released on October 12, 2012 in the U.S. and on May 9, 2013, the German cinemas.

Action

Kate and Charlie are a young married couple whose connection is based on love for music, fun and especially drinking. As Kate's drinking addiction brings them into dangerous situations and they also risked her job as a teacher, she decides to join Alcoholics Anonymous to be dry. With the help of her friend and mentor group Jenny and the Deputy Rector of their school, the clumsy but benevolent Mr. Davies, Kate makes progress towards health and is on a good way to get their lives back on track. However, Kate had not expected that the Nüchternsein brings its own problems. Your new "dry" life brings the problematic relationship with her mother to light and confronts them. On September 21, 2011 Super Crispy Entertainment announced that Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul were watching in the lead roles, along with Octavia Spencer and Nick Offerman in the supporting roles. James Ponsoldt resulted from a screenplay director, which he co-wrote with Susan Burke.

The shooting was completed on 22 October 2011 and Smashed was included in the Sundance Film Festival program on 30th November 2011.

On 25 June 2012, Variety.com reported that Smashed on the Deauville American Film Festival - werde.Smashed was shown also shown at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012 - which ran from 31 August to 9 September.

Smashed was picked up by Sony Pictures Classics on February 5, 2012, and opened on 12 October 2012 in the cinemas.

The soundtrack was released on film Music Reporter on September 21, 2012. The soundtrack from Lakeshore Records, was released digitally on 9 October 2012.
