Soane Lilo Foliaki

Soane Lilo Foliaki SM ( born April 18, 1933 Ma'ufanga; † 24 December 2013 Nukualofa ) was Bishop of Tonga.

Life

Soane Lilo Foliaki joined the Congregation of the Marist Fathers and received on 21 July 1955, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 10 June 1994 as Bishop of Tonga. The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio Apostolic Nuncio in Fiji and in New Zealand and Nauru, Thomas A. White, donated to him on June 23rd of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Petero Mataca, Archbishop of Suva, and Max Takuira Matthew Mariu SM, Auxiliary Bishop of Hamilton in New Zealand.
