Sobiemierz

Sobiemierz ( German Sophienhof ) is a dwelling-place in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It lies in the Gmina Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg community ).

Geographical location

The living space is located in Eastern Pomerania on the province road 102 between Trzebiatów ( Treptow an der Rega ) in the west and Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg) in the east, about 100 kilometers northeast of Stettin.

Just east of the living space includes the village of Bogusławiec ( Charlottenhof ). About three kilometers north-west of the village lies Drzonowo ( Drenow ).

History

In the middle of the 19th century Sophienhof was created as Vorwerk of goods Drenow. When in 1910 the then owner of the estate, a Hermann Braeger, items sold his estate, and the Vorwerk Sophienhof one of them. It was divided into five farms to 10 hectares of land and two cottages on 25 acres of land.

After the formation of agricultural estates in the 19th century belonged to the Sophienhof Gutsbezirk Drenow. With the division of the estate Drenow the Gutsbezirk was dissolved in 1910 and Sophienhof came to the rural community Drenow. As part of the rural community Drenow Sophienhof belonged until 1945 to the Kolberg- Körlin the Prussian province of Pomerania.

After 1945 came Sophienhof how completely Pomerania to Poland. It was given the Polish name Sobiemierz, the population was replaced by Poland.
