Solar eclipse of December 26, 2019

The annular solar eclipse of December 26, 2019 mostly takes place in Southeast Asia. In total, including areas with partial visibility, the visibility area covers a large part of the most densely populated areas in the world.

In the zone with annular eclipse there are areas that were affected by the tsunami on Boxing Day 2004 with the strongest, exactly 15 years after this disaster.

In addition to large parts of Asia, the eclipse can be observed in its partial phase in Guinea and northern Australia.

Course
