Solar eclipse of June 21, 2020

The annular eclipse of 21 June 2020, mainly be seen in Asia and Africa, in its partial phase can also be seen from South East Europe.

The duration of the annular phase is in the midst of the darkness just 38 seconds, and is therefore very short. This is because the apparent diameter of the moon is only slightly smaller than that of the sun, the eclipse is almost total at the time of the greatest cover that of the sun around the moon visible edge is thus very narrow.

The maximum of the eclipse occurs in the Nanda Devi National Park in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.
