Sophie McShera

Sophie McShera (* 1985 in Bradford, West Yorkshire ) is a British actress.

Life

McShera grew up as the child of an Irish family with her brother Liam in Bradford on. At the age of 12, she took acting lessons. Shortly thereafter, she received her first role in the musical The Goodbye Girl, which was performed on a tour of the United Kingdom in 1997 and 1998.

Later she studied at Brunel University and received first roles in series such as Emmerdale, Doctors and Survivors. In 2009 she received the role of Ros McCain in the television series Waterloo Road, which she took over in 19 episodes. Since 2010 she is the kitchen maid Daisy in the series Downton Abbey dar.

Including in productions of Cinderella (2009/2010) or Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem addition, she performs regularly at the theater.
