South-Western Administrative Okrug

The Southwest County (Russian Юго - Западный административный округ / Yugo- Sapadny administratiwny okrug ) is one of twelve administrative districts of the Russian capital Moscow.

Location

The southwestern County is located on the southwestern outskirts of the city of Moscow.

Description

The southwestern County contains 12 neighborhoods. In the district of more than 1 million people live. At the neighborhoods Jassenewo and Tjoply Stan the Bitza Park, one of the largest urban forests bordering on the territory of the Russian capital.

In this district is on the border to the neighboring Western County on Lenin Prospekt ( which the city district boundary represents ) 95A, the Consular Section of the German Embassy, currently. In temporary housing on the grounds of the former East German embassy and trade mission
