Spain Fed Cup team

The Spanish Fed Cup team is the national team of Spain Tennis, which is used in the Fed Cup. The Fed Cup (until 1995 Federation Cup ) is the most important competition for national teams in women's tennis, similar to the Davis Cup for the men.

History

For the first time Spain took part in the 1972 Fed Cup. The team played so far 38 times in the World Group and is a five-time title winner.

Successful Spanish Fed Cup player is the former team boss Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, the total of 100 Fed Cup matches played in 16 years. She was there in 72 games successfully with 50 victories in singles and 22 in doubles. Of the 28 Fed Cup doubles with Conchita Martínez she denied 21 of which were able to win both 18. In the years 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1998 you led the Spanish team to win the Fed Cup.
