Sportfreunde Oestrich-Iserlohn

The Iserlohn FC 46/49 is a football club based in Iserlohn, the largest city of Märkischen circle and the Sauerland, who was born July 1, 2012 from a merger of Sportfreunde Oestrich- Iserlohn and the football department of TuS Iserlohn. The Sportfreunde Oestrich- Iserlohn were a football club with over 1,000 members from Oestrich, a district of Iserlohn.

History

Sportfreunde Oestrich / Sportfreunde Oestrich- Iserlohn (1949 to 2012)

The club was founded on 10 September 1949 as Football Club Sportfreunde Oestrich. Precursor was the Oestricher Football Club in 1911, who was later connected with a game department of the gymnastics club football Oestrich of 1881. In 1975, the club was renamed to Sportfreunde Oestrich- Iserlohn. The club colors of sports fans were red and white.

Until the mid- 1970s, the club played in the circuit and district class. The upswing of the club began in 1975 with the rise in the national league. 1978 managed the sports fans to qualify for the regional league, they belonged to the 1994 season, when the club was fifth division champion and first rose into the Oberliga Westfalen. The league included the sports friends to the 2001/02 season, in which one, however, only reached the 17th place in the table and therefore had to descend again in the fifth division. 2006 managed to return to the Oberliga Westfalen as runner-up of the fifth division, since the master DSC Wanne -Eickel was denied admission due to incomplete records.

Iserlohn FC 46/49 (since 2012)

On 15 December 2011, the members of the sports as well as the football department of TuS Iserlohn spoke in separate meetings in favor of a merger. The members of the Iserlohn club FC Borussia Dröschede rejected from the same accession. The inaugural meeting took place on 26 April 2012. In a joint general meeting of the previous clubs of the new name FC Iserlohn 46/49 and the new board were elected on 26 June 2012. The merger was completed on 1 July 2012. The numbers 46/49 are ( TuS Iserlohn: 1846 / Sportfreunde Oestrich: 1949 ) for the early years of the old associations. The club colors are red and white. The home jerseys are red, the blue third kit. The first team of FC Iserlohn 46/49 plays in Hemberg Stadium, in which already have taken place among others on the U17 DFB also Junior National Games. The second team ( county league A) as well as all youth teams of the club come in Willi - Many of the stadium.

In his first season 2012/2013 the club competed in the national league 2 siebtklassigen Westphalia. The national league team first started out with a kick-off defeat, but was then in the table is never worse than 5th place and kept in touch with the championship lead.
