Sprent Dabwido

Sprent Jared Dabwido (born 1972 ) is a politician from Nauru, the 2011 President of Nauru on 15 November and also took over the post of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Interior.

Life

Dabwido was first elected in the elections of October 23, 2004 in the constituency Meneng with a value of 239.733 votes as a member of the Nauruan Parliament. He was so beside Dogabe Jeremiah one of two representatives from this constituency. In the distant past elections of 3 May 2003, he finished in third place and still subject so Botelanga Nimrod, whose place he took and just got the fifth best result in this constituency. In the parliamentary elections in Nauru in 2008 and 2010, he was re-elected and each appointed in 2009 by President Marcus Stephen Minister for Telecommunications and Transport in the Cabinet.

On 15 December 2011, the Nauruan Parliament decided, by nine votes to eight, Frederick Pitcher deselect, who was elected as the successor of Marcus Stephen President of Nauru until 10 November 2011 and only narrowly also nine votes to eight against Milton Dube could prevail. Dabwide was still on 15 November 2011 subsequently elected again with nine votes to eight to succeed Pitchers and thus President of Nauru.

16 November 2011 Dabwido presented his cabinet, in which he himself took over the offices of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Interior, while David Adeang new finance minister. His presidency ended in 2013.
