St. Petersburg Renegades
The St. Petersburg Renegades were an American ice hockey franchise in the Sunshine Hockey League from Saint Petersburg, Florida.
History
The St. Petersburg Renegades took the 1992/93 season as one of five founding members of the match operation in the Sunshine Hockey League. In its premiere season the team started successfully, but had a low average attendance in order to operate profitably, as a team from the National Hockey League has been settled with the Tampa Bay Lightning at the same time. After only 20 games featured the Renegades therefore already changed back to game mode and the franchise was dissolved.
