Winston-Salem Mammoths

The Winston -Salem Mammoths were a U.S. ice hockey franchise in the Southern Hockey League from Winston- Salem, North Carolina.

History

The Winston -Salem Mammoths took to the 1995/96 season as an expansion team of the match operation in the Southern Hockey League. In its premiere season the Bullets reached after a third place in the regular season quickly retrieve the playoff final, in which they, however, the Huntsville Channel Cats subject in the best- of-seven series with 1:4 victories. After the season the league was disbanded and the Winston- Salem Mammoths stopped the game operation. The only coach of the Mammoths was the former Canadian NHL player John Anderson.
