Staff Captain Lieutenant ( StKptLt, SKL ) called in Germany the highest ranks of the rank group of the captains of the Uniform Division Marine. The equivalent in the other two uniformed areas of Armed Forces, Army and Air Force, is the rank of the staff captain. The rank was in 1993 in the German armed forces specifically for officers of the military professional service ( MilFD ).
