Stade (region)
The Landdrostei Stade was an administrative district of the Kingdom of Hanover and the Prussian province of Hannover in the 19th century. She was the direct predecessor of the district of Stade.

History
1816 Central authorities were formed to manage the Kingdom of Hanover, which initially welcomed the provincial government and from 1823 Landdrostei. The Landdrostei Stade included three historical territories, the Duchy of Bremen, the Duchy of Verden and the country Hadeln. After the Kingdom of Hanover was in 1867 became the Prussian province of Hanover, the Landdrostei Stade was first made . 1885 was formed from it according to the Prussian administrative structure of the district of Stade. At the same time the old Hanoverian offices were replaced by Prussian counties.
The external borders of the Landdrostei Stade changed in 1827 when Bremen acquired an area at the mouth Geestemünde for the construction of Bremerhaven and 1859, when the Office Verden has been increased by territories belonging until then to Landdrostei Hanover.
Country Droste
The Landdrost was the highest official of Landdrostei. His office was comparable to that of a government minister.
Administrative divisions (1814-1852)
The Landdrostei was divided until the early 1850s in cities, offices, Gohgerichte, Grafe dishes, Bailiwick courts, convent offices, pin dishes and patrimonial.
Administrative divisions (1852-1885)
After a comprehensive administrative and judicial reform in the early 1850s there were 1852 in the Stade Landdrostei total of five independent cities and 26 offices. 1859, the number of ministries was reduced to 18.
Duchy of Bremen
In the area of the old Duchy of Bremen existed the three independent cities Bremervörde, Buxtehude and Stade. In addition, since 1852 22 and since 1859 there were still 15 offices:
Office Achim
The Office Achim lay south-east of Bremen. For Office included, among other things, Achim, Oyten, Hemelingen Mahndorf and Arbergen. 1859 came the south of the dissolved Office Otter Mountain added to the Official Achim. 1885, the county was formed from the Achim Achim office.
Office Bederkesa
The Office Bederkesa was largely congruent with today's Samtgemeinde Bederkesa. 1859 the office was disbanded and incorporated into the Office Lehe.
Office Beverstedt
The Office Beverstedt comprised approximately the territory of the present municipality Beverstedt and much of the church today Loxstedt. 1859 the office was dissolved and divided between the offices Bremervörde Lehe and Easter wood.
Office Blumenthal
For Office Blumenthal included, among others Schwanewede and the current district of Bremen Blumenthal. 1859 resolved Official Lesum was incorporated. From the office of the county Blumenthal Blumenthal was formed in 1885.
Office Bremervörde
For Office 1852 Bremervörde included the neighboring towns of Bremervörde and Gnarrenburg and the area of today's joint communities Geestequelle and flare Lamstedt. The city remained Bremervörde official free. 1859 gave the Office from the Lamstedt space to the Office East and received parts of the dissolved Office Beverstedt and some communities of the Office Zeven. 1885 went to the office in the new district Bremervörde Bremervörde.
Office Dorum
For Office Dorum belonged Northern wood and the area of today Samtgemeinde Wursten. 1885 went to the office in the new district Lehe.
Office Freiburg
For Office 1852 Freiburg was the territory of the present-day towns of Freiburg / Elbe, Balje, Krummendeich and Oederquart. In 1859 they came near the communities of the defunct Office wiping harbor. 1885, the county Kehdingen was formed from the Office of Freiburg.
Office Hagen
The Office Hagen mainly included the territory of modern Samtgemeinde Hagen in Cuxhaven. 1885 was the largest part of the Office in the new circle Geestemünde; only the communities Aschwarden - breaking and Hinnebeck came to the circle Blumenthal.
Office Harsefeld
The Office Harsefeld initially covered approximately the area of today Samtgemeinde Harsefeld. 1859 were added to the communities of the defunct Office Horne castle. 1885 was the Office Harsefeld almost entirely on the new Kreis Stade; only the municipality territory came to York county.
Office Himmelspforten
The Office Himmelspforten mainly included the territory of modern joint communities Himmelspforten and Oldendorf. In 1859 they came near the communities of the defunct Office Stade; same time, the area left of the Oste was submitted to the Office East. 1885 was the largest part of the Office on the new Kreis Stade; only the community Elm came to the circle Bremervörde.
Office Horne Castle
For Office Horne castle belonged essentially the area of today's communities Horne Castle, Bliedersdorf, Dollern and Nottensdorf. 1859 the office was disbanded and incorporated into the Office Harsefeld.
Office Jork
For Office Jork owned the territory of the present Samtgemeinde Liihe, the territory of the present municipality of York and the present districts of Hamburg Cranz, Neuenfelde and Francop. 1885 went to the office in the new district Jork Jork.
Office Lehe
For Office 1852, the largest Lehe belonged parts of today's cities and towns Bremerhaven, Langen and ship village. 1859 were added to the communities of the defunct Office Bederkesa and a large part of the dissolved Beverstedt Office. 1885 Official Lehe was divided. The circle Lehe was from the area north of Geestemünde and from the area south of the county Geestemünde Geestemünde was formed.
Office Lesum
For Office Lesum included large parts of today's Bremen Town parts Burglesum and Vegesack. The Office was dissolved in 1859 and incorporated into the Office Blumenthal.
Office Lilienthal
The Office Lilienthal extended over the area of today's communities Lilienthal, Worpswede and Grasberg. 1885 went to the office in the new district Easter wood.
Amt Neuhaus an der Oste
The Office Neuhaus an der Oste mainly included the territory of modern Samtgemeinde On Dobrock. 1885 was the office in the new district of Neuhaus an der Oste.
Office East
For the Official East included the communities Hemmoor and east. 1859 came the parish Lamstedt from office Bremervörde and a part of the Office Himmelspforten it. 1885 was the office in the new district of Neuhaus an der Oste.
Official Easter wood
For Official Easter wood included, among others Osterholz, Sharm Beck, Hambergen and Vollersode. 1859 occurred some communities of the dissolved Office Beverstedt it. 1885 went to the office in the new district Easter wood.
Official Otter Mountain
For office Otter Mountain included, among others, the territory of the present Samtgemeinde Tarmstedt and Otter Mountain, Horstedt and Reeßum. 1859 the office was dissolved and divided between the offices Achim, Rotenburg and Zeven.
Official Stade
For Office Stade included, among others Agathenburg, Fred Beck and Kutenholz. The city of Stade was official free. 1859 the office was disbanded and incorporated into the official gates of heaven.
Office Wischhafen
The Office Wischhafen extended in the church today wiping port and Drochtersen area. 1859 the office was disbanded and incorporated into the Office of Freiburg.
Office Zeven
For Office Zeven was essentially the area of today's joint communities Zeven, Selsingen and Sittingbourne. 1859 gave the office a few towns to the Office Bremervörde and received some communities from the dissolved Official Otter Mountain added. 1885, the county was formed out of office Zeven Zeven.
Duchy of Verden
In the territory of the old duchy of Verden Verden was the only independent city. In addition, three were in 1852 and set up two offices since 1859:
Office Rotenburg
For Office Rotenburg included, among others Rotenburg ( Wumme), Scheessel, the territory of the present Samtgemeinde Bothel and Visselhoevede. 1859 came some communities of the dissolved Office Otter mountain so. 1885 went to the office in the new district of Rotenburg.
Office Schneverdingen
For Office Schneverdingen the area of today's churches and communities New Schneverdingen belonged in Heidekreis. 1859 the office was disbanded and incorporated into the Office of Soltau Landdrostei Lüneburg.
Office Verden
For Office Verden included, among others Kirchlinteln and long fronds. 1859 came from the Landdrostei Hanover resolved Official West and parts of the dissolved Office Schwarme it. 1885 Verden was formed from office and town of Verden.
Hadeln
The country Hadeln, which is essentially today's Samtgemeinde Hadeln included, was incorporated into the autonomous city Ottersdorf and the Office Ottersdorf. 1885, the county was formed from Hadeln office and city Ottersdorf.
Traces on the present
To date, the Regional Association of Stade, who cares about cultural issues in the former Landdrostei Stade exists. Many regional institutions such as the Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Agriculture or the Sprengel Stade of the Evangelical- Lutheran Church of Hanover include today the area is derived from the earlier Landdrostei.
