AS Cittadella

The Stadio Pier Cesare Tombolato is a multi-purpose stadium with track and field facility in Cittadella. Cittadella is located in the Province of Padua in the Italian region of Veneto. The sports complex was opened in 1981. At the covered grandstand (West) is the uncovered opposite stand. The rank in the north is for the visiting fans. The name goes back to the former, young goalkeeper Pier Cesare Tombolato. He came in 1957 with only 18 years in a collision during a game killed.

After the rise in the B series of AS Cittadella played in the years 2000 to 2002 at the Stadio Euganeo in Padua; because the stadium in Cittadella had only about 4,000 seats and did not meet the requirements. To re- ascent in 2008, Pier Cesare Tombolato was modernized and expanded; so you did not have to move to a foreign stadium again. The Italian Football Federation FIGC granted a dispensation as stages of series B must have at least 10,000 seats.

One of the first home games of the season, the club had to dodge the Stadio Omobono Tenni to Treviso, because the work had not been completed at the stadium. The first game of the season in the renovated stadium was held on November 29, 2008 between the AS and AC Ancona ( 0:0) instead.

The capacity amounts after conversion to 7623 seats.
