The Stadium Gal is the home stadium of the northern Spanish football club Real Unión Irun. Irun is located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country on the border with France.

History

The football stadium was built in 1926 in the most successful period of the club; than four times the Spanish Cup Winners (1913, 1918, 1924 and 1927 ) and 1928, a founding member of the first Spanish league. With the game Real Unión Irun against FC Barcelona at that time venue was inaugurated; before they played at the Campo Bidasotarra. It is located on the banks of the River Bidasoa; just 300 meters from the border with France. In 1997 it was completely renovated. It now offers 5,000 seats; ( East Stand 1,300 grandstand seats 1,700 seats) which is 3,000 seats spread over the two side stands. There are also a stand behind with standing room. The stadium is kept in white (seats; shelter). The main grandstand is with a bright; translucent design reconsidered. Behind the standing terrace in the south of an artificial pitch has been created.
