Stadthalle (Nuremberg U-Bahn)

The subway station Stadthalle Fürth (abbreviation: SF) is the 37th Metro Station of the Nuremberg U- Bahn and was opened on 5 December 1998. It is 957 meters from Fuerth Hospital Metro Station and 636 meters from Fuerth Rathaus underground station away. Until December 4, 2004, he was the terminus for the line U1. Location

Building and Architecture

Construction of the station began in 1997 and were carried out in an open design with Berlin wall. In the course of the building the " Fischhäusla " and the old Maxbrücke had to be demolished.

The architectural design was created from a design by Dana Birk, who had won the bidding of the Georg- Simon- Ohm - Hochschule Nürnberg design competition.
