Staphylococcus intermedius

Staphylococcus intermedius is a rotund, non-spore -forming, gram- positive bacterium of the genus Staphylococcus. It is a facultative anaerobe and coagulase -positive. According to the earlier system, it is referred to as E and F of biovar Hundevarietät of Staphylococcus aureus. S. intermedius is the most common pyogenic organisms in dogs and cats with other animals or humans, it does not matter.
