Staudach-Egerndach
Jam -Egerndach is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein and a member of the administrative community Marquartstein.

Geography
Geographical location
Jam -Egerndach is im Chiemgau, especially in Achen valley south of Lake Chiemsee. The nearest motorway as well as the nearest train station can be found on the Munich -Salzburg in overseas.
From jam from the roof Hochgern can be climbed.

History
The place of storage roof was first mentioned in 1150 as " Studahe " documentary. In today's municipal area was located in the Middle Ages the castle Hohenstein, which at times was owned by the Chiemgau comital victory Hardinger. The plant, of which only a few remnants are preserved on the castle hill today, often changed hands. In 1260 the castle came to the reign of Duke Henry XIII. of Bavaria- Landshut.
Today's independent municipality was created in 1817 as " community Egerndach ". On April 13, 1949, the church name was officially changed to Egerndach jam -Egerndach.

Therese ( " Rosi" ) Brandl ( February 1, 1902 in Jam roof; † (executed ) January 24, 1948 in Cracow / Krakow ) was a camp guard in Nazi German Reich.
