Steffen Blochwitz

Steffen Bloch joke ( born September 8, 1967 in Herzberg ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

1985 Steffen Bloch joke was on the team of the GDR Junior World Champion in the Team Pursuit with Thomas Liese, Uwe Preißler and Michael Bock. In 1986 and 1987 he was East German Champion in the Team Pursuit with the crew of the SC Cottbus, in both years also runners-up with the train of four of the GDR. He was awarded the GDR four ( Thomas Liese, Carsten Wolf and Guido Fulst ) in Lyon World Champion 1989. 1988 won the East German foursome also at the Seoul Olympics, the silver medal.

After a third place at the German Championship in the individual pursuit in 1991, Steffen Bloch joke turned primarily to the road racing. He won the 1991 Sachsen Tour, 1993, the OZ Wieler Weekend and 1995, the International Thüringen Tour. He became German Vice Champion in a two - team driving together with Lars Teutenberg 1996.

In 1999, Bloch joke back from active cycling. Since then, he is manager of the LKT Team Brandenburg, for, inter alia, Robert Bartko and Henning Bommel drive.

1988 Bloch joke was honored for winning the silver medal in Seoul with the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver. This order was granted already in 1986.
