Østensjø

Østensjø is a southeastern district of the Norwegian capital Oslo. The district has 44 399 inhabitants (2008 ) and an area of 12.24 km ². It borders on the Østmarka and is a popular area for the inhabitants of Oslo and Lørenskog.

Østensjø consists of the satellite towns Oppsal, Bøler, Bogerud, Abildsø Manglerud and Høyenhall, all located around the Østensjøsee. The Østensjøsee is a nature reserve since 1992.
