Stephanie Gilmore

Stephanie Louise Gilmore ( born January 29, 1988 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian surfer and four-time world champion of women ASP World Tour (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). She currently lives in Tweed Heads.

Gilmore's life as a surfer began at age 10 when she started first experiments with a body board. At age 17, she participated as a wild card to World Tour events, which paid off in 2005 with a win at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast. In her next season she won the 2006 Havaianas Beachley Classics. Your success in the WQS ( World Qualifying Series) she qualified for the Women's ASP World Tour 2007, where they did not disappoint. She won four of the eight events and secured the world title. You could their success in 2008, 2009 and 2010 repeat.

In December 2010, she was attacked by a stalker with an iron bar. During the defense of a blow she broke her wrist. In July 2012, she won for the fifth time the world title.
