Stephen Makinwa

Stephen Ayodele Makinwa ( born July 26, 1983 in Lagos) is a Nigerian football player. He plays the position of center forward.

Career

Makinwa has played up continuously since 2000 by the Italian Serie C to Serie A and stood already at a variety of different clubs under contract. The U.S. Palermo he qualified in 2005/ 06 for the first time in club history for the group stage of the UEFA Cup. For the season 2006/ 07 changed Makinwa to league rivals Lazio, the loaned him in January 2008 at Reggina Calcio. In the summer of 2008, the Nigerians returned to Lazio. In the second half of the season he was loaned to AC Chievo Verona. In the season 2010/11 he joined AE Larisa in the Greek Super League.

National

In the African Cup 2006 Egypt Makinwa belonged to the squad of the Nigerian national team and came a few times used. His debut he played in November 2004 against the South African national football team.
