Stephen McGlede

Stephen John McGlede (born 13 April 1969) is an Australian former racing cyclist.

At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul Stephen McGlede won the bronze medal with the Australian track four ( Brett Dutton, Dean Woods, Wayne McCarney ). In 1990 he was at the Track World Championships in Maebashi world champion in the points race and finished together with Darren Winter, Brett Aitken and Mark Kingsland third place in the team pursuit. In the same year he won at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland bronze in the scratch over ten miles and finished the Circuit Franco -Belge second place in the overall standings. In 1991 he was in Stuttgart Vice World Champion in the points race behind the Swiss Bruno Risi. 1992 McGlede won at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in the team pursuit silver medal, together with Shaun O'Brien, Brett Aitken and Stuart O'Grady.
