Stephen Mirrione

Stephen Mirrione, ACE ( born February 17, 1969, at the Santa Clara County, California) is an American editor. Stephen Mirrione won an Oscar for the editing of the film Traffic - power of the cartel.

Life

Mirrione graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a BA in 1991 from. In Los Angeles, he began working with Doug Liman, who was then still a student at the film school of the University of Southern California and cut Liman's first feature films Getting (1994 ) Swingers (1996) and Go ( 1999), the latter a tribute to Akira Kurosawa's film Rashomon from the year 1950.

Director Steven Soderbergh learned Mirrione at the premiere of Go know and asked him a year later, whether this would cut the movie Traffic. For the movie section of Traffic Mirrione won an Oscar. In the following section Mirrione Soderbergh films from the Ocean series, namely Ocean's Eleven (2001 ) Ocean's 12 (2004) and Ocean's 13 (2007).

For the section of Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu film Babel Mirrione won the 2006 Eddie Award by the ACE. For this film, he was also nominated for an Oscar.
