Stockholm International Peace Research Institute

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, German ) is a research- work on questions of conflict and cooperation in the context of global developments in peace and security. It was founded in 1966 in the form of a foundation by the Swedish government.

His studies on the armor thickness were recognized by all concerned countries number basis for the disarmament negotiations between East and West. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute publishes annual and special documentaries that address different challenges of today's globalization.

In 1982 the Institute was awarded the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education.
