The Strombolicchio ( smaller Stromboli ) is the volcanic island of Stromboli, one of the Aeolian Islands off the north coast of Sicily, in front as tower-like cliff on the north east coast in about 1.5 kilometers away. The small island has a length of 131 meters, a maximum width of 52 meters and a floor area of approximately 3,500 m² (0.35 hectares). It is the residue of an old volcanic vent filling. Probably the Strombolicchio volcano was a predecessor of today's Stromboli volcano or an old addition volcano whose eruption took place 360,000 years ago. The rock of Stromboliccio thus one of the oldest of Stromboli.

The originally 56 m high cliff was leveled during the construction of the lighthouse in 1926 to 49 m. On the platform a staircase with 211 steps leads.
