Å tudlov (Svitavy District)

Študlov ( German Studlow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-west of Letovice and belongs to Okres Svitavy.

Geography

Študlov located in the Svitavská pahorkatina on a ridge between the valleys of Křetínka and Svitava. In the north- east rises the Padělky ( 533 m), northwest of the Šimkův Kopec (536 m). North of the village was the historical border of Moravia to Bohemia.

Neighboring towns are Chrastavec in the north, Půlpecen, Moravian Chrastová and Chrastová Lhota in the northeast, Rozhraní and Bradlné in the east, Vilémov, Stvolová and Vlkov the southeast, Lazinov, Dolni Poříčí and Prostřední Poříčí in the south, Horni Poříčí the southwest, Bohuňov in the west and Vítějeves in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1629 as part of the rule Křetín. After ordering Lokalie in Bradlné Študlov 1791 there gepfarrt. At the same time Bradlné was also school location.

After the abolition of patrimonial Študlov formed in 1850 a part of the community Bradlné in the District Commission Boskovice. In 1910 the church was Študlov, since 1923 it bears the name Študlov. In 1950, the Moravian community was assigned to the Bohemian Okres Svitavy. Študlov today consists of 74 houses, of which 21 are used as holiday homes.
