Stylenite

The Stylenite (proper spelling: StyleNite ) is a cultural event organized by the Berlin designer Michael Michalsky. It originated from the Michalsky fashion shows and is held twice a year during the Berlin Fashion Week. Since January 2010, the event runs under the title StyleNite.

The event breaks with the expiry of a usual fashion show, performances by combining different art directions. As part of the event content, the inspiration theme of each collection of designer Michalsky serves.

Event concept

Michalsky often treated with his collections a topical social issue. These topics accesses the StyleNite. An integral part of StyleNite are the Michalsky fashion shows. Changing venues and scenes form the framework for further performances of the event. The program includes regular live musical acts of known or newly discovered musicians, show performances, film screenings and fashion shows from other fashion companies. The evening ends with an after - show party. In March 2011, Michalsky was known to carry out the next four StyleNites the Tempodrom in Berlin.

Models

In addition to famous and already known models appear on the StyleNite also always new faces. Michalsky also ignores the "traditional" requirements to models in terms of age, background or impeccability and leaves on the StyleNite Models on the catwalk with disabilities as well as older models.
