Styrian state election, 2005

On October 2, 2005, a regional election took place in the Austrian province of Styria. It was the first time after 60 years to a change of power in the country. The previous ruling People's Party under Governor Waltraud Klasnic wife lost after a serious scandals dominated the election campaign, the majority of the SPÖ under Franz Voves which new Governor was.
