Suchý Důl

Suchy Dul ( German Dörr reason) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 16 km north-east of Náchod and belongs to Okres Náchod.

Geography

Suchy Dul extends on the western foot of the main ridge of the mountains along the river Falk Ledhujka. To the north of the Klůček (614 m) and the Supí raise hnízdo ( Geier basket, 702 m), in the west of Modrý kámen ( 686 m ) and southwest of the Velka Kupa (708 m).

Neighboring towns are Hlavňov in the north, Křinice in the northeast, Martínkovice in the east, in the southeast Slavny, Bělý in the south, Velka Ledhuje the southwest, Police nad Metují in the west and Bukovice in the northwest.

History

The town was founded by German colonists by 1253 as part of the reclamation of the area by the monastery Břevnov was first documented in 1395. Dried reason was the largest village of the pen Braunau associated rule Politz. Managed was the site of the Scholtissei ( šolcovna ), a Erbgerichtshof. 1561 founded the Braunauer Abt Jan Chotovský the village small Labnay.

After the abolition of patrimonial dried ground / Suchy Dul formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Braunau. From 1938 the town came to Okres Náchod and after the end of World War II back to Okres Broumov. In 1961, the repeal of the Okres Broumov; Suchy Dul was incorporated into the Okres Náchod and at the same time was the incorporation of Slavny. In 1986 Suchy Dul lost its independence and became a district of Police nad Metují. Since 1 September 1990, the community is again.
