Suzue Miuchi

Suzue Miuchi (Japanese美内 すずえ, Miuchi Suzue, born February 20, 1951 in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo, Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist.

She grew up in Osaka and previously visited in kindergarten regularly a lending library to read manga by Osamu Tezuka. To draw self she started about ten years. In 1967 she won the Young Investigator Award of the manga magazine Margaret Bessatsu for the short story Yama no Tsuki to Kodanuki to. The short manga was followed in October 1967 to their first release, more comics for Bessatsu Margaret. Both school romances, and historical stories appeared from her pen, but above all their horror and mystery manga had in the mid-1970s success.

The breakthrough for the illustrator came when in 1976 her most famous work, Glass no Kamen, Hana -to- Yume magazine began, which she completed after more than 7,000 pages in 2004. The 42 anthologies sold in Japan about 50 million times; making it the most commercially successful shōjo manga Glass no Kamen to Hana Yori Dango Yōko Kamio. The manga, which was implemented as anime and real television series and excellent for the Miuchi 1995 with the Japan Cartoonists Association Award, is about a coming from a poor girl whose biggest dream is to become an actress. It fulfilled his dream finally, though, but the way is rocky.

The Kodansha Manga Award winning author of the 1982 Yokihi - the (German about " story of the magical demon princess "). From 1986 to 1995 she was responsible for the two magazines Asuka and Asuka Fantasy DX its second longest work, Amaterasu.
