Nishinomiya

Nishinomiya (Japanese西宫 市, - shi) is a city located in Hyōgo Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan. The city is situated on the Bay of Osaka between Osaka and Kobe, was established on 1 April 1925.

Nishinomiya is home to the Kwansei Gakuin University. Economically important are rice wine brewery as well as the rubber, steel and auto production.

In addition, here is the famous Koshien Stadium, home of the Hanshin Tigers and venue for the popular annual high school baseball championships, and the Hirota Shrine.
