Toyooka, HyÅgo
Toyooka (豊 冈 市jap, - shi) is a city located in Hyōgo Prefecture in Japan.
Geography
Toyooka lies to the east of Tottori and north of Kobe on the Japan Sea.
History
Toyooka was named after the incorporation of three villages to Shi on April 1, 1950.
On 1 April 2005 the new appointment was made to the Shi after the merger of the old Shi Toyooka, with the Chō Hidaka (日 高 町, chō ), Kinosaki (城 崎 町, chō ) and Takeno (竹 野 町, chō ) in Kinosaki -gun (城 崎 郡) and Izushi (出 石 町, -chō ) and Tanto (但 东 町, -chō ) in Izushi -gun (出 石 郡) was founded. Both counties ( gun ) were released then.
