Sviatoslav III of Vladimir

Svyatoslav III. Vsyevolodovitch (* 1196, † 1252) was from 1246 to 1248 Grand Prince of Vladimir. He came from the family of the Rurik and was the son of Vsevolod Jurjewitschs.

After his brother Yaroslav was poisoned II at the court of the Great Khan Batu, Svyatoslav went according to the Senioratsprinzip his successor as Grand Duke of. Yaroslav's sons, Andrei and Alexander Nevsky protested at Batu. That court held that the two brothers from 1248 should govern the principality together. Svyatoslav was deposed.
