Svoge

Swoge [ svɔɡɛ ] ( Bulgarian Своге ) is a small town in Bulgaria.

Location

The city is located in the Balkan Mountains on the river Iskar ( Bulgarian Искър ), 40 kilometers north of Sofia, in the widening of the Iskar Gorge.

Public transportation

The town lies on the railway line Sofia - Vidin. There are also various bus to Sofia.

Economy

Is known nationwide for the same Swoge chocolate brand, which is produced locally by Kraft Foods Bulgaria.

Sports

Swoge is the home of the football club FK Sportist Swoge, who is currently in the first Bulgarian League, Group A plays.

Tourism

In the nearby Balkan Mountains there are hiking and climbing routes.
