Sweet Sensation

Sweet Sensation was an American R & B-/Dance-Band the late 1980s.

Description

Betty LeBron and the two sisters, Mary and Margie Fernandez, three New Yorkers Puerto Rican descent, joined together in the 80s as Sweet Temptation. For their first release Hooked on You ( 1986) named it because of the Temptations in Sweet Sensation order. But since there was already a British band of the same name, they were known outside the U.S. as well as New York 's Sweet Sensation.

Already with the first release they came into the U.S. pop charts at # 64 and were able to continue to compete in this chart regions. Even more successful they were in the U.S. dance charts, where Take It While It's Hot came in at number 14 and Never Let You Go 1988 even a number 1 was.

1989 Mari left the trio and Sheila Bega joined the two remaining women. With a cover version of the Supremes hit Lovechild they were in 1990 then also venture into the pop charts in the front ranks and in the same year they finally had their biggest hit: If Wishes Came True was a number 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in Europe, they were not, however, represented in the charts.

After a final common single it was then passed in 1991. Although Betty graduated a short time with three new singers as a quartet under the old name appearances, but in 1992 it was finally over.

2005 Betty LeBron once again appeared as Betty Dee in appearance. She sang on the dance single My Body Tu Cuerpo by Dynamix ( Dynamix presents Sweet Sensation ).
