Tadla-Azilal

Tadla- Azilal (Arabic تادلة أزيلال ) is one of the 16 regions of Morocco is located in the center of the kingdom. In the region of Tadla- Azilal 1,450,519 people lived at the 2004 census on a total area of ​​17,125 km ². For 2011 the number of residents were calculated on 1573957.

The region's capital is Beni Mellal. Larger cities are Fkih Ben Salah, Kasba Tadla, Boujad, Azilal and Demnate.

Geographical location

The province is located on the Northern Slope of the High Atlas. The highest elevation is the Djebel Azourki, with a height of 3677 meters one of the highest mountains of Morocco. South of Azilal is the fertile mountain valley Ait Bougoumez, whose inhabitants have developed a sustainable management system of scarce environmental resources.
