TÃ¥gkompaniet

Tågkompaniet ( TKAB ), full name Tågkompaniet Svenska AB, is a railroad corporation with train traffic in Sweden.

The TKAB was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Gävle. It became fully operational in 2000 and primarily serves the regional and local train services in northern Sweden. After the Norwegian State Railways ( NSB) involved one-third to the first TKAB 2004 ( in connection with the end of the LINX- cooperation between NSB and SJ AB), include the NSB now 85 % of the shares.

1999 night train and regional train service was advertised to / from and in Norrland. The TKAB competed and won the tender until the summer of 2003. Various other routes have also been adopted and some have already been lost. Currently Tågkompaniet operates trains for Tåg i Bergslagen, for X - Trafik and with the Danish State Railways (DSB ) through the joint subsidiary Roslagståget the Stockholm suburb train Roslagsbanan.
