Tags (Unicode block)

The Unicode block tags ( engl.: Tags, U E0000 to U E007F ) contains absorbed. Language tags. These are used to specify the text language, writing and spelling according to RFC 4646 in plain text files, for example to be able to use short and long characters next to each other in a text file. Language information to start with the introductory language tag and then specified using the Sprachtagzeichen the corresponding code, the so defined language affects all subsequent text. The closing language tag ends the language specification.

The use is not recommended today because they are no longer supported as of Unicode Version 5.1 (2008).
