Taktser Rinpoche

Tagtser Rinpoche (Tib. rin po che stag mtser ) is an important incarnation number of the Kumbum Monastery, a monastery of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism in Qinghai. There are six representatives of the system is known. He is also the abbot of the monastery Shadzong ( shwa rdzong dgon ).

The most famous member of the series is the 6th Tagtser Rinpoche, Thubten Jigme Norbu ( thub stan ' jigs med nor bu; 1922-2008 ), the eldest brother of Tenzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama.
