Takuji Hayata

Takuji Hayata (Japanese早 田 卓 次, Takuji Hayata, born October 10, 1940 in Wakayama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese gymnast. He was two -time Olympic champion.

Hayata won a gold medal on the rings and the team around competition at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 1964. In the individual all-around, he finished 8th place In the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 1970 in Ljubljana, he became world champion in team all-around and was third on the high bar.

2004 Hayata was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
